Kai Maks
Hi, my name is Kai, and I'm a first-year General Biology major from just outside Chicago. I love drawing, listening to music, and taking naps! My favorite memory as a Bruin was attending Relay for Life at Drake Stadium!
For this project, I was the Majors & Minors Coordinator, as well as the Podcast Coordinator. I also provided the additional resources for the Bruin MindCare Toolbox and Housing Information, was a blogger and description writer for Paws, Pens, and Passion, featured in Hour-by-Hour, and hosted an episode of Dorm Dispatch.
Katherine Valencia
Hi everyone! I'm Katherine, and I'm a first-year Biochemistry major from Oceanside, California. I have a strong passion for word searches, traveling, and Legos. My favorite memory as a Bruin has been watching Doechii perform at BruinBash.
For this project, I created the Exams Hacks Gallery page and the “How to De-Stress” Buzzfeed Quiz. I also wrote the Mission Statement, descriptions for each Honors pillar (Learning, Being, and Doing), a blog for Paws, Pens, and Passions, was featured in Dorm Dispatch, and provided responses about my major for Majors & Minors.
Meichen Wan
Hi everyone! I’m a sophomore at UCLA majoring in Applied Mathematics and Economics. I’m originally from Xi’an, China, and spent four years in high school in Boise, Idaho. I’m passionate about art, love to travel, and enjoy discovering new cafés.
For this project, I created the Bruin MindCare Box infographic, designed the Study-Spot Playbook survey, and developed data visualizations from the collected responses. I also contributed to the Dorm Dispatch podcast, shared written responses about my major, and was featured in Hour-by-Hour. In addition, I helped with the overall design of the website.
Eunnie Wu
Hello, my name is Eunnie! I am a first-year majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Aliso Viejo, California. Some of my interests include reading, painting, and exploring new places. My favorite memory so far has been lounging on the lawn next to Janss Steps at sunset.
For this project, I was the editor for the Day in the Life Video and description writer for Hour by Hour. I also organized the blogs and wrote an entry for the Doing section, as well as recorded an episode of Dorm Dispatch.
