Having a strong support system is important, especially with the inevitable adjustments that come with college. For many, that can be their roommates, but for others, it can just be added stress. Here on Dorm Dispatch, you will hear four accounts of the different aspects of what it's like to have roommates at UCLA. Brought to you by the 4 co-authors, each will elaborate on the highlights and struggles of what it means to dorm.
1. Unpacking Distance
Join Kai as she discusses her experience as a first-year student living in a classic triple. Listen to her reflections on navigating the challenges of being an out-of-state roommate and her approach to breaks, weekends, and home visits!
2. Two Beds, One Vibe
Join Michelle as she reflects on how a post about UCLA’s Honors Program led to an unexpected roommate connection that turned a double in Hedrick Summit into a true home. Hear about the small but powerful ways to help them maintain a healthy relationship.
3. My Roommate Situation
Join Eunnie as she talks about her first year living in a dorm with a random roommate and logistical details about dorm life at UCLA. Learn about her dorm's social dynamic living in a Plaza Triple and what it takes to maintain healthy relationships with roommates and suite mates.

Undergraduate Change of Assignment Request (CAR): Prior to the academic year, undergrads can request a room assignment change. CAR will open mid-July. More information can be found here.
